Why Fairway crawl spaces stay damp

Fairway grew up right after the war, and the housing stock shows it. Drive down almost any street off Shawnee Mission Parkway or near Mission Road and you are looking at postwar ranches and story-and-a-half Cape Cods, most of them sitting low over a vented dirt crawl space that nobody ever sealed. Older homes do not always need the full system
